Kimberly Torres has lots of life experience to write about. She was born in Alabama but spent the better part of her childhood moving around her home state of Louisiana with a couple of stops in Texas along the way. By 1995 she had moved over 16 times and experienced more than most do in an entire lifetime. In school she found her passion early, music, and it was evident to everyone that knew her. She studied several vocal styles , including opera, and excelled at them all. She was also a versatile actress and performed in several school and community theater productions. After graduation, she moved more but kept singing. She briefly performed with a few cover bands in Louisiana, but stopped to raise children and focus on her career.
After a few failed relationships, lots of soul searching , the loss of close family members, finally discovering the love of her life, and moving to the Dallas area, Kimberly finally decided to pursue her love for music full time. In 2007 she joined On the Way as the lead singer and began performing throughout the metroplex at venues such as The Glass Cactus, The House of Blues, Reflections and Filthy McNasty’s. Performing on a regular basis helped hone Kimberly’s stage presence, create a fan base, and develop her skill for song writing. With a back story like hers she had more than enough material to draw on and write about and in September of 2010 she penned and recorded what became her first single, “Everything You Ain’t”. On The Way eventually became Afterdark a pop/dance cover band that allowed Kimberly to perform every genre of music from Michael Jackson to Lady GaGa, and helped her realize that performing her own music is what she was called to do. In June of 2011 Kimberly competed and placed 2nd in the 1st annual Stage Baron’s song writer contest and was afforded the opportunity to record her first album. She spent the summer writing and the result was worth the effort; each song tells a different story that all seem to tell her story. In September, Kimberly recorded 9 original songs at Studio 333 located at the KE Bushman’s Cellar in Bullard, TX, left the world of pop, and is now rocking the stage as an original Texas Country artist. Kimberly’s music is eclectic , much like her, and includes everything from traditional country 2-steps to bluesy rockers and soulful ballads. Kimberly and her band, Swamp Love, are writing for her new album due late this year, and the new single "Terms of Leaving" can be expected this summer.
Recently, Kimberly was added to the long running show band Vince Vance and The Valients("All I Want For Christmas Is You"), as Venus Valienette. When not touring and performing energetic shows with Vince, Kimberly can be found performing acoustically or with her full band, Swamp Love. Her show is a rocking, contemporary spin on the traditional country band. She mixes in popular country, dance, rock, and of course her original music. No matter the venue each performance brings the same high energy and showmanship audiences love her for.

The name “Rhythm -n- Roses” may be new, but the members of this rising trio are anything but a strangers to music.
Tammy began singing and writing as a child in California. Her career began in contemporary Christian music. After moving to Texas, she fell in love with a country boy and country music. She says, “You know, the whole Texas boy meets California girl thing.” She began writing music, singing on demos for publishers and started meeting with other writers and singers in the business. Five years ago she started performing with her band all around Texas at fairs, festivals, and parties. In her band was her oldest son, Justin.
Justin began learning guitar as a young teen from respected musicians in the business. He eventually, joined, and sang in Tammy’s band. And following in his mom’s footsteps, began writing. His raspy, Texas country voice has earned him jobs now performing all over Texas, Nashville, and New York, to name a few. One day while singing in East Texas, Justin and Tammy met Jennifer.
Jennifer began singing at the local opry’s and writing songs in April of ‘97. She trained with the legendary gospel music Hall of Fame member, Jim Wesson, and Jayne Lybrand, of the Image Factory. She has opened for Mark Wills, Ray Price, Charlie Daniels, the Oak Ridge Boys, along with many others. Her performances have ranged from fairs and festivals to the occasional musical.
The three have joined together, performing and writing, to create “Rhythm -n- Roses.” Sharing lead vocals, they now play with a full band, or acoustically, any and everywhere they can. This unique mother, son, and daughter-in-law group (yes, Justin and Jennifer got married) always put on a fun, energized show full of covers, originals, and always amazing three part harmony.
